    Description

    Rattlesnake Island 1969 set of six mint perf/imperf stamps
    Starting in 1966 Rattlesnake Island operated the only USPS sanctioned local post in the United States.  R.I. issued stamps until 1989 when the island was sold.  It resumed service in 2005 and seems to have discontinued it a few years ago.
